Abu Dhabi Central Bus Station. located at the corner of Muroor Road and the 11th Street, was built from 1980-1984. The green paint outside may seem a bit dated, but if you look closely, the design is modern, fluid and practical. As Prof. Deborah Bently pointed out, the design is “all about shade“. Prof. Mo Ogrodnik said the men on the taxi stand side all seem to know each other. They have moved some furniture under the overhang for resting (I didn’t see any today). There are rows of tabs for them to clean before they pray, right under the overhang.
